Filming Deer with the Mavic 3 Pro
Filming Deer with the Mavic 3 Pro
Ive bit the bullet and finally bought the awesome Mavic 3 Pro. First time out with it this morning, sunrise was a fail but on the way home I noticed a herd of deer in the far fields, so ofcourse, I just had to see what this 7 x zoom could do. I crept the drone low towards them over the fields and started recording. The details are insane on this camera, I was miles away! Yeah they could hear the drone but they werent skittsh or disturbed at all, this drone is made for wildlife. Still need to get used to the cinematic movements, totally different to FPV, but sure ill get there with some more practice. So far loving it

These conditions just blew my mind!! God tier weather, just so stunning. Been after flying Winnats Pass in the snow for some time now but to get it with a cloud inversion is just insane, total jackpot! Ive never even heard of an inversion with snow, never mind seen or flown one, today was defo my lucky day and I am forever grateful to the drone gods! I very nearly did blow it though, like a zombie at 5 in the morning I forgot to pack my batteries, luckily I had a fully charged one on the big bird already so had to make the most with this one pack. Absolute epicness, my favourite flight to date

PEAK DISTRICT TIMELAPSE VOL 2
PEAK DISTRICT TIMELAPSE VOL 2 Volume 2 of my Peak District time lapse series. New gear, new techniques and new places, all coming together to fill my obsession with time lapse. Shot over the last 2 years trying to capture all four seasons, still knowing I have many years to go yet to keep going back and finding those perfect conditions. I suppose it is a TIME lapse after all Kase filters Canon 5dsr Dynamic Perception Music by Demigods

THE PEAK DISTRICT | Cinematic FPV reel
Thought its about time I put a Peak District FPV sequence together. Still got plenty more places on the list to hit up but got enough footage for now for this short vid. Some of my fave locations on here, Mam Tor, Winnats Pass etc, real lucky with some of the light too.

FPV
Sorry ive been quiet again, I have been busy diving into the world of FPV, First Person View drone flying. There has been ups and downs, plenty of crashes and stupidly expensive but its all finally coming together now. I would 100% recommend this hobby to anyone, its amazing. Just make sure you approach it right and do your research. Practising for months on the simulator Liftoff on your pc/console is a must before you even consider buying a drone. These arent like the standard DJI drones that hover for you and return to home and land, these are fully manual acrobatic quads that will drop out of the sky if you let go of the controls. Here is a video of my recent trip to Winnats Pass in the Peak District, this is exactly why I bought the drone in the first place, diving epic cliff faces and getting to see stunning scenery from a different perspective, the cinematic landscape footage you can capture from these drones is so cool. Let me know what you think and where you would like to see next, hope you enjoy.
CHROME HILL
Now this was an early start, and within half hour of arrival it did not look great. You could see a bit of colour in the sky but cloud was flying in fast and blocking most of it. It was still nice to be out but with all the planning and the forecasts I was hoping for more. Then, all of a sudden, it was like the clouds burnt up and virtually disappeared. The sun had finally made an appearance and me and my client were treated to some stunning glowing light, and as a bonus a blanket of low mist started to roll in to the valley. One of the best conditions I have had for a while here. I do love the Peak District but man, the weather can change like that. This time it was for the good and we were treated to a beauty. Anyone been lucky enough to witness one of the famous inversions??
BAMFORD EDGE
Some serious mood from yesterday’s workshop up on Bamford Edge in the Peak District. My client asked for stunning views so think I delivered with this one, its hard to not get a decent shot from up here, sooo many killer compositions. Was hoping for some nice light from the sunset, think we got about 10 seconds worth until the clouds came in, but that’s the Peak District for ya, you just never know what the weathers gonna do. But, really like the mood in these shots, think it worked out for the best. Nice to get out of the house. Where are your favourite views in the Peaks??
