FPV
Sorry ive been quiet again, I have been busy diving into the world of FPV, First Person View drone flying. There has been ups and downs, plenty of crashes and stupidly expensive but its all finally coming together now. I would 100% recommend this hobby to anyone, its amazing. Just make sure you approach it right and do your research. Practising for months on the simulator Liftoff on your pc/console is a must before you even consider buying a drone. These arent like the standard DJI drones that hover for you and return to home and land, these are fully manual acrobatic quads that will drop out of the sky if you let go of the controls. Here is a video of my recent trip to Winnats Pass in the Peak District, this is exactly why I bought the drone in the first place, diving epic cliff faces and getting to see stunning scenery from a different perspective, the cinematic landscape footage you can capture from these drones is so cool. Let me know what you think and where you would like to see next, hope you enjoy.
MEDIA CITY
Hey guys, gonna start off the new year by introducing a blog to my website. Recently I went on a trip to the awesome Media City in Salford Quays, Manchester. Its an architecture photographers paradise! The forecast wasnt great and as we headed over the Woodhead Pass we were hit with the thick cloud which we thought ruined any chance of nice light, but we ventured on and when arrived was treated to a nice little afterglow. I have visited Media City once before but was a bit overwhelmed with what to shoot so this time I took a different approach, slowed things down, worked on my composition and sharpness, and this time used a light pollution filter. This really helped with the terrible orange sky glow and enabled me to pick out much more details in the highlights as stuff wasnt getting blown out. Hope you enjoy the images, and please feel free to comment below. Cheers, Rob
